Vertical · Cafés & Bakeries
Premium compostable packaging for café food service.
Café chains across EU, UK, and US markets need plastic-ban compliant packaging that also reads premium. Ecofy supplies kraft clamshells, takeaway bowls, and PET lids that pair with sandwich, salad, and grain-bowl programmes.
Buyer's Reality
What café procurement teams are facing.
Plastic ban compliance is non-negotiable
EU Packaging Regulation 2025, UK Plastic Tax, California SB 54. A non-compliant container risks the licence to operate in entire markets.
Premium aesthetic at counter and on Instagram
Café food is consumer-facing. Generic white compostables look cheap; brown kraft is the new premium standard for grab-and-go positioning.
One container fits cold and hot menu items
Same SKU has to hold an iced grain bowl at 4°C and a warm soup at 70°C. Most compostables fail one or the other temperature.
Lid availability across the full container range
Salads, soups, parfaits all need lids. A supplier without matched-lid coverage forces multi-vendor sourcing.
Product Fit
SKUs that fit café programmes.

Procurement Questions
Answers for café sourcing teams.
Are these plastic-ban compliant in EU, UK, and US markets?
Yes. EN 13432 certification (EU and UK), ASTM D6400 (US), FDA-compliant for food contact. Documentation provided with every shipment.
Are containers safe for both cold and hot food?
Bagasse containers handle cold food (salads, parfaits, iced bowls) and hot food (soups, curries, reheated meals) up to typical foodservice temperatures. Specific ratings on each spec sheet.
Do you have lids for every container size?
Yes. Six PET lid SKUs cover the full Ecofy takeaway bowl, oval, and rectangle range. Match-numbered for café operations to simplify ordering.
How does pricing compare to single-use plastic?
At container-load volumes, bagasse is competitive with virgin plastic on landed cost. Plastic-tax savings (UK Plastic Packaging Tax £223.69/tonne, EU equivalents) often tip the economics in compostable's favour.
Can we print our café brand on the kraft containers?
Yes. Custom embossing and pad printing on kraft containers. Tooling lead time is 4 to 6 weeks; minimum order quantities apply for custom-branded SKUs.
What is the MOQ for a small or growing café chain?
Standard SKUs ship from container-load minimums for export. For India and select regional buyers, pallet quantities are available on standard SKUs. Custom-branded SKUs are FCL on the first run.
